Every researcher wants to publish papers; and knowing how to do it continually is a valuable skill in academia. This workshop will help you in understanding the basic of academic writing and also how to look for good journals. Ian's presentation will take you from the metrics of publication and ranking systems, all the way to a deep understanding of the human-computer interface that is the key to success in peer review. Only somewhat jokingly called “journal hacks,” Ian Scott takes a fresh and novel approach to getting your paper published in high impact journals.
